Are You A Leader?

As our Solar Sales Manager, this position will manage the strategic direction, including the setting of objectives, goals, and associated tasks that will be developed, implemented, and managed by this position. We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of solar PV that also has at least 5 years of managerial experience running a sales team/department, meeting high-level sales goals and is extremely driven.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage Residential Sales Team

  • Recruit Solar Sales Consultants

Build Customer Pipeline

Position Overview

Solar Installer / Laborer at OE Solar

OE Solar is an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor operating out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. We offer a comprehensive spectrum of services for sustainable green construction projects including solar, wind, and energy efficiency, and handle everything from: capital acquisition, engineering, permitting, and procurement, to construction. By handling all aspects of our client energy projects, we create a simple, low-stress experience.

Under the direction of a Lead Installer, you will work on a team installing solar photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Installation of Residential and Small Commercial solar electric systems.
  • Construction according to plans, specifications, manufacturer’s requirements, and NEC of Roof and ground mounting structures, mounting and wiring solar modules
  • Installation of conduit, wire, and disconnects
  • Installation of inverters and connection to the utility grid.
  • Reliability and professionalism will be required on a daily basis.
  • On-site installation of solar PV system from design documents
  • Participates in training and meetings
  • Ensure Electrical systems meet company standards, the National Electrical Code, and other local codes.
  • Work with a high level of quality and integrity.

Business Development Assistant

OE Solar is looking to fill an onsite, outside sales position for a Business Development Assistant. If you are a critical thinker with an outgoing personality that likes to help build mutually beneficial relationships, then this is the position for you. This job is ideal for a motivated person who wants to utilize their sales and marketing skills to help make a difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Work with sales account teams to develop and close client opportunities to drive revenue
  • Regularly participate in sales and prospect visits
  • Take the lead in pre-sales discussions, discovering and defining customer requirements surrounding solar project opportunities
  • Prepares thorough, accurate and timely estimates for projects, including the preparation of bid documents and plans compliant with project specifications including RFP’s
  • Provide technical support and consultation to account executives to win projects
  • Design solutions for customers based on OE Solar core competencies and document the scope of projects
  • Responsible for solution design, business development and transition of projects from pre-sales to delivery
  • Assist account executives in creating and presenting solution proposals to clients
  • Identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with potential customers.
  • Develop proficiency in the use of Company/project estimating systems and processes and recognize estimating processes/project actions that may impact the project costs
  • Create and maintain a database of project profiles, pictures, resumes and other reference materials
  • Scheduling appointments and hosting clients and visitors
  • Attend online networking events and in-person networking events

Requirements:

EE98J Journeyman Electrician for Private & Prevailing Wage Projects

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working with or leading a crew to install electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of residential and commercial solar PV systems.
  • Install projects as contracted and designed.
  • Proper installation of required materials.
  • All electrical work meets or exceeds current National Electrical Code as well as local jurisdiction requirements.
  • All projects are completed in a professional manner.
  • Ensure a quality installation experience for the customer.
  • Troubleshoot PV systems and resolve electrical issues.
  • Oversee and effectively communicate with local inspectors.
  • Ensure all projects pass jurisdiction requirements.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Project Management Team.
  • Maintain and enforce safety and training programs.
  • Work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have an active New Mexico EEJ98 Journeyman Electrician license.
  • Own a current 2017 NEC Code Book.

Jr Project Manager Job Description

The Jr Project Manager (JrPM) will assist in leading and directing the testing, building, operations, and maintenance of Residential Solar projects and large-scale PV solar power plants. Onsite construction management of the PV solar plant includes the installation of piles, racking systems, and PV modules.

The major responsibilities of the Jr Project Manager will be to assist the Project Manager manage, train, and allocate staff and responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner while meeting project schedules and budgets.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager with the following job duties:

  • Assist with ensuring all project engineering accountabilities are completed on time and in compliance with all technical, commercial, safety, and regulatory requirements and will meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Assist with developing project schedules.
  • Assist with developing project budgets and cost spend plans.
  • Assist with providing project leadership as an overall technical lead and member of the project senior team.
  • Assist with integrating the latest technology equipment into a reliable solar PV power generation facility.
  • Assist with providing leadership and guidance to a multi-discipline project team to ensure quality engineering deliverables are submitted to the project contract requirements.
  • Assist with executing the Procurement strategy for sourcing, evaluating, and contracting photovoltaic equipment and services for the development, engineering, construction, and operations to support the new build Solar projects.
  • Work closely with the engineering, development, construction, and operations teams in analyzing various procurement options for projects and assure procurement activities are performed consistent with established schedules and budgets.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining contacts and relationships with major equipment manufacturers and suppliers and major contractors providing services to the Solar industry.
  • Assist with implementing the process of measuring vendor’s and contractor’s performance and for monitoring risk exposure.
  • Assist with providing progress reports and other status updates to client and management as required.
  • Assist with developing solar projects, simultaneously working with land development, permitting, business development, finance, legal, environmental, and engineering.
  • Assist with creating full project development schedules and high-level construction and interconnection schedules, to establish reasonable and achievable construction start and commercial operation dates.
  • Assist with performing site visits
  • Assist with on-site customer management & coordination with other trades
  • Assist Project Manager when acting as the point person for establishing operational procedures for project management
  • Assist with submitting Interconnection Agreements
  • Assist with submitting for permitting
  • Assist with filing digital and hard copy paperwork
  • Assist with tracking invoices
  • The above efforts are crucial to the successful completion projects and the profitable growth of the company. 

Other requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel and manage remote installation sites
  • Ability and desire to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Clean criminal history and ability to pass a federal background check
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, if/when required
  • Willingness to be trained and perform outside of role hired
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong commercial and leadership skills.
  • Possess integrity and commitment to compliance.
  • Strong project management skills including budget adherence and cost control measures.

Experience / Education

  • Education in Project Management
  • MS Office/Project literacy and strong verbal and written communication skills are critical.
