Solar Installer

Solar Installer for Prevailing Wage Job

Are you comfortable with using power tools and being on roofs?

You are in the right place. Solar installers work daily with everyday construction equipment and abide by roof top safe practices to ensure that your safety comes first.

Position Overview

The Solar Installer works on a team installing solar photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial clients:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform duties on Construction Job sites while wearing all proper PPE
  • Perform installations to plans, installation manuals and industry standards as well as to current NEC Codes
  • Install all equipment to manufacturers install requirements.
  • Layout the solar array on roof per plans
  • Install multiple different racking systems to manufacturers requirements
  • String panels per plans
  • Read electrical one-line diagram and roof plans
  • Set up roof safety equipment as needed
  • Have all materials & tools (from companies required tool list) packed and ready for the day
  • Use tools on site to correctly install solar PV system to manufacturer’s standards
  • Make sure all work areas are clean from all trash before you leave each day.
  • Be polite and courteous to customers.
  • Must be able to lift 80 pounds
  • Take photos of install
  • Keep trucks and shop clean and organized daily – clean out trucks daily.  Put up tools and materials daily
  • Get jobs done in the time allotted to meet schedule
  • Respect should be shown to colleagues, supervisors and customers.
  • Climb Ladders
  • Operate Heavy Equipment
  • Drive Company Vehicles, as needed
  • Arrive on time, ready to work with all tools that are required for them to do your job

Requirements:

  • Comfortable using power tools and being on roofs
  • Must have your own hand tools
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the NEC Code and AC and DC electrical systems a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Customer service skills

Senior Marketing Coordinator

Position Overview

The Senior Marketing Coordinator has a passion for high-quality content, takes pride in their work, and has meticulous attention to detail. Work with our fast-paced solar + energy storage team to spread the word about what new and exciting projects are underway, partnerships are being formed, and energy breakthroughs are being developed. Get creative, get excited, and bring your own innovation to help the world recognize the energy our OE team has to offer. This role reports directly to the Director of Business Development.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategize and Maintain social media calendar 
  • Coordinate and execute web content and website
  • Oversee all email marketing and communications
  • Oversee marketing budget
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the press, including submittal of frequent press releases
  • Look for avenues to nominate OE Solar and staff for awards and recognition
  • Be a point of contact for the arrangement of interviews and other media requests
  • Attend events as needed. Help with scheduling and planning events, ribbon cuttings, open houses, and educational presentations/panels throughout the year
  • Find community outreach programs that will help market OE Solar
  • Oversee all advertising across Google, social media, TV, print, and radio
  • Linkedin outreach and lead generation

Requirements:

  • Proficient in using social media management and email management software
  • Excellent visual and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail both aesthetically and grammatically
  • Knowledge of WordPress
  • Knowledge of Linkedin optimization and messaging
  • Experience working with the press is a plus
  • Experience working with technical or commercial services is a plus
  • Customer service skills

EE98J Service Electrician – service truck provided

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting electrical systems including solar PV Arrays
  • Have a voltmeter and know how to use it.
  • Understand electrical theory and NEC Code
  • Can work independently or in a team
  • Install projects as contracted and designed.
  • Quality is a main driver for you 
  • Can review plans and see what would need to be changed to make it better
  • Creative in the way you get the electrical system temporarily working until parts come in.
  • Ensure all projects pass jurisdiction requirements.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Project Management Team.
  • Work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability and professionalism will be required on a daily basis.
  • Create a positive work environment.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must have an active New Mexico EE98J Electrician license.
  • Own a current 2017 NEC Code Book.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot electrical wiring
  • Must own all electrical tools, power tools, and tool belt
  • Must be a motivated team player, looking to succeed.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical projects.
  • Solar experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the project.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with excellent communication skills.
  • Must be a motivated team player, looking to succeed.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must submit and pass a background check and drug test.

Solar Foreman

Solar Foreman

As our Solar Foreman, you are required to manage others in the field at residential and commercial job sites. Strong Leadership experience is required to maintain and build a team that will works to build a quality solar installation. This position reports to the construction manager and spends most time in the field maintaining quality and raining others. An electrical license is preferred but not required.

Duties and Responsiblities:

  • Oversee field employees at jobsite to ensure efficiency and accuracy of installations
  • Perform warranty work
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field and report findings to Superintendent
  • Clear documentation and records of what happened in the field that day and any changes that may have occurred onsite.
  • Submit reporting information to Superintendent
  • Responsible for communicating changes from field to the Project Manager
  • Attend inspections as needed. Obtain green tags on the first inspection.
  • Ensure all trucks are cleaned out daily
  • All materials should be put up in the correct locations, where they belong
  • All tools are to be checked out and back in daily.
  • Push field workers to complete their jobs in the time allotted without going over 40 hours a week.
  • Report vehicle issues immediately to the procurement manager.
  • Follow the OE Solar progressive disciplinary policy to document employees that are not following company policy, misconduct, attendance etc. Get signed and completed form to HR for record storage.
  • Make sure all materials are packed and ready for the day to keep jobs on schedule and on budget.
  • Go to electrical service calls, troubleshoot work. Estimates and Invoices will be given to Project Coordinator
  • Check Emails daily to keep in communication with the office.
  • Upload pictures to Project Management system for each job that was done in a day.
  • Assist with weekly safety meetings to go over areas of improvement as well as things that are being done well.
  • Always wear all PPE -Have a working cell phone on you.

Experience:

5 years of construction experience
