Solar Sales Professional

Position Overview

Solar Sales Professional OE Solar

In this role, you will be the face of driving the clean energy movement. You are the first person our customers meet along their journey of purchasing solar. If you are willing to work hard, want to make great money, and make the world a better place – then this position is an ideal fit.

As the Solar Sales Professional, you will be responsible for generating your own leads, primarily by door to door sales efforts, referrals, and channel sales method. You will be working directly with homeowners to lower their monthly utility bill by going solar. This is a full-time position that has a rich commission program linked to performance, with benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Drive production of opportunities to meet local sales teams goals and objectives.
  • Develop qualified referrals and sales opportunities.
  • Generate own leads by directly contacting homeowners, initiate conversations and close homeowner contracts to save money while using clean solar energy.

Qualifications

  • 2 year college preferred
  • High school diploma required
  • Proficiency in Spanish a plus!
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite- proficient with email and CRM systems
  • MUST have prior door to door sales or direct sales experience
  • A track record of achievement as evidenced by sales awards, beating quota, etc.
  • General understanding of the sales process and experience achieving and exceeding sales quota goals
  • A positive, friendly personality and professional demeanor
  • Flexibility to work within non-standard business hours
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Frequent local travel
  • Frequent walking/standing for 6-8 hours per day

Solar Installer

Position Overview

Solar Installer

Under the direction of a Lead Installer, you will work on a team installing solar photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial clients. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive production of opportunities to meet local sales teams goals and objectives.
  • Develop qualified referrals and sales opportunities.
  • Generate own leads by directly contacting homeowners, initiate conversations and close homeowner contracts to save money while using clean solar energy.

Qualifications

  • On-site installation of solar PV system from design documents
  • Participates in training and meetings
  • Ensure Electrical systems meet company standards, the National Electrical Code and other local codes.
  • Work with a high level of quality and integrity.
  • Ensuring adequate inventory for truck
  • Pre-assemble job components in the warehouse.
  • Layout and assembly of solar modules, array and mounting hardware
  • Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
  • Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
  • Is punctual to all meetings and job sites
  • Follow safe work practices
  • Clean-up of job site
  • Continuously develop skills.
  • Safely and legally operate personal vehicle and Positive Energy Solar vehicles.

Electrician

Position Overview

Electrician

Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems. Must be able to interpret blueprints and manufacturer’s specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems.
  • Must be able to interpret blueprints and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • May be required to train and instruct apprentice level electricians.
  • Ability to complete tasks in an efficient manner with attention to detail
  • Follows written and verbal instructions.
  • Uses equipment and tools properly and safely.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a background and drug test.
  • OSHA 10 Preferred.

Field Superintendent

OE Solar is looking for a dedicated electrical Superintendent to run our large solar commercial projects. Solar Knowledge and experience is preferred.

Summary:

The Field Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete commercial solar projects. They are required to document all work in the field track certified payroll hours and ensure safe working conditions. This person should know electrical code and be OSHA 30 certified.

Specific duties:

Your main duty is to run the job. Make sure all workers are working, doing the right tasks in the correct way. You will also be required to make sure all workers have the tools and materials to get the job done.

  • Push jobs to completion
  • Write Daily reports
  • Create Parts lists
  • Meets with Other Subcontractors and General Contractors on the jobs
  • Can manage up to 15 people on a job
  • Shows up to work early and is the last to leave
  • Ensures new hires receive job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing.
  • Leads and support the site team in technical, quality and safety, utilizing systems in place.
  • Ensures company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
  • Provides excellence in the management and delivery of the project, in-line with the client’s expectations.
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
  • Manages land owner expectations, concerns and Right of Way access.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • EE98J
  • OSHA 30
  • Organization: Utilizes strong organizational skills.
  • Communication: Displays strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.

  • At least 5 years’ experience working in electrical or solar construction environment as a Superintendent
  • NABCEP PV Solar Professional Certified
  • Have Valid NM EE98J
