Solar Installer

Position Overview

The Solar Installer works on a team installing solar photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial clients:



  • Installation of Residential and Commercial solar electric systems.
  • Construction according to plans, specifications, manufacturer’s requirements, and NEC of roof and ground mounting structures, mounting and wiring solar modules
  • Installation of conduit, wire and disconnects
  • Installation of inverters and connection to utility grid.
  • Reliability and professionalism will be required on a daily basis.
  • On-site installation of solar PV system from design documents
  • Participate in training and meetings
  • Ensure Electrical systems meet company standards, the National Electrical Code and other local codes.
  • Work with a high level of quality and integrity.
  • Ensuring adequate inventory for truck
  • Pre-assemble job components in the warehouse.
  • Layout and assembly of solar modules, array and mounting hardware
  • Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
  • Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
  • Is punctual to all meetings and job sites
  • Follow safe work practices
  • Clean-up of job site
  • Continuously develop skills.
  • Safely and legally operate personal vehicle and OE Solar vehicles



  • Comfortable using power tools and being on roofs
  • Must have your own hand tools
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the NEC Code and AC and DC electrical systems a plus

EE98J Service Electrician – service truck provided

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting electrical systems including solar PV Arrays
  • Have a voltmeter and know how to use it.
  • Understand electrical theory and NEC Code
  • Can work independently or in a team
  • Install projects as contracted and designed.
  • Quality is a main driver for you 
  • Can review plans and see what would need to be changed to make it better
  • Creative in the way you get the electrical system temporarily working until parts come in.
  • Ensure all projects pass jurisdiction requirements.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Project Management Team.
  • Work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability and professionalism will be required on a daily basis.
  • Create a positive work environment.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must have an active New Mexico EE98J Electrician license.
  • Own a current 2017 NEC Code Book.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot electrical wiring
  • Must own all electrical tools, power tools, and tool belt
  • Must be a motivated team player, looking to succeed.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical projects.
  • Solar experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the project.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with excellent communication skills.
  • Must be a motivated team player, looking to succeed.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must submit and pass a background check and drug test.

The Administrative Asst. reports to the HR Coordinator/ CFO – Galina Kofchock

Administrative Assistant’s job expectations include:

  • Be responsible for your own actions and mistakes
  • Follow up and follow through on your responsibilities
  • Hold yourself to the highest level of work ethics
  • Be efficient with  your time management
  • Be a team player.
  • Communicate with team members regularly using email 
  • Keep your Assignment Tracker up to date


In an effort to help you meet the above expectations we have compiled this list of requirements and responsibilities.

This list is not meant to be a complete all-inclusive list. You may have additional responsibilities that have not been specifically called out in this document. Below is a list of tasks and responsibilities that you will be expected to perform for OE Solar. We expect you to take ownership of your tasks, reporting them to your Manager and documenting your interactions in writing through email, BT or other written memo’s. You will be required to be in the office as your presence at the front desk is crucial to the office to run efficiently.


Office Administration Work


  • Time Management
    • You will need to meet the deadlines as they are outlined in your assignment tracker
    • Report your hours at clock in and out each day and for lunch on form
  • Communication
    • Check Emails throughout the day to keep in good communication
    • File items electronically and digitally
  • Update Google Calendar for your manager and for yourself.
  • Buildertrend
    • Use Daily Logs & Buildertrend leads documenting every time you contact a customer.
  • Daily Tasks
    • Review – check online in monitoring sites if monitoring/ and system is producing accurately
    • File Pick Tickets as needed
    • Track RMA process
    • Create Invoices in QB and also in BT as Needed
    • Receive payment from Clients
    • Collect payment in Quickbooks as needed
    • Stay organized with files and documentation of work, who you talked to and when
    • Help set up phone system in Vonage as needed
    • Answer the phone in a professional manner
    • Help create Close Out Binders as needed
    • Help sets up interviews
    • Create and send New HIre paperwork
    • Learn to process invoice and receipts 
    • Work with Insurance carriers to get new insurance certificates to clients as needed.
    • Work with Bond Company to issue Bonds for jobs as needed
    • Help with RFP’s as needed
    • Organize files on Drive and BT as Needed
    • Help set up new login’s in Buildertrend
    • Help issue company property 
    • Process 401K payments
    • Enter Monthly Workers Comp Audits
    • Help collect files for Audits
    • Renew Business license to make sure we stay compliant
    • Greet people at the door as they come in, call up employees for visitors as needed. 
    • Other tasks as they are assigned
    • Help set up job fairs and other Hiring events
    • Find trainings for employees and help create a training syllabus per position
    • Help with HR tasks as needed.
