Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station Solutions
Whether you’ve just purchased your new electric car or plan on getting one soon, Osceola Energy Solar & Electrical Contracting can help get your electric vehicle charging station installed and soon you’ll be saying “goodbye gas station, hello home EV charging”.
Things to Consider for your EV Charging Station
Determine where you intend to park your EV while it’s charging. Ideally, you will want the charging station to be no more than 12 to 15 feet from the connection port on your car, but this can vary depending on the make/model of your electric vehicle.
You will also want to consider what level EV charger will fit your needs for charging speed (see chart). For best results, we recommend going with a Level 2 EV charger.
Before your car charger can be hooked up, you’ll need to have 240V power near the charging station and a 40 AMP dedicated circuit breaker on your main electrical panel. Osceola Energy can determine what your home has and if any updates are needed to get you charged and on the road.
